Welcome to CNSEC. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the cloud security
platforms and services provided by CNSEC AB ("CNSEC", "we", "us"), including CSPM and Certova.
By using our services, you agree to these Terms.
Important: Please read these Terms carefully before using our services.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use our platforms.
1. Definitions
- "Service" refers to CNSEC's cloud security platforms (CSPM and Certova), including all
features, tools, and documentation
- "Customer" or "You" refers to the entity or individual using our
Service
- "Customer Data" refers to data about your cloud infrastructure that you provide or we
collect through authorized access
- "Account" refers to your registered account on our platforms
2. Account Registration and Access
2.1 Account Creation
To use our Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your credentials secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
2.2 Cloud Access
You grant CNSEC read-only access to your cloud infrastructure for security analysis purposes.
You are responsible for configuring appropriate IAM roles and permissions according to our documentation.
3. Service Use and Restrictions
3.1 Permitted Use
- Monitor security posture of your cloud infrastructure
- Identify security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps
- Generate reports and receive security recommendations
- Automate remediation of security issues
- Manage compliance frameworks and evidence collection
3.2 Prohibited Use
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Reverse engineer or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service to compete with or build a competing product
- Upload malicious code or harmful content
- Share account credentials with unauthorized parties
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
4. Customer Data and Privacy
4.1 Your Data
You retain all rights, title, and interest in your Customer Data. We use Customer Data solely to
provide the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy.
4.2 Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit
and at rest, multi-tenancy isolation, and access controls. Our infrastructure is EU-hosted by default.
5. Fees and Payment
5.1 Subscription Fees
Service fees are based on your selected pricing plan. All fees are non-refundable except as
required by applicable law.
5.2 Payment Terms
- Fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- Payment is due upon receipt of invoice
- Late payments may result in service suspension
6. Service Level
6.1 Availability
We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for our Service, excluding scheduled maintenance and
circumstances beyond our control.
6.2 Support
Support levels vary by pricing plan. All customers receive email support.
Priority support is available for enterprise plans.
7. Intellectual Property
CNSEC and all related technology, software, and content are the exclusive property of CNSEC AB.
These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service
during your subscription period.
8. Warranties and Disclaimers
We warrant that the Service will perform substantially as described in our documentation.
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Security Disclaimer: Our Service provides security analysis and recommendations
but does not guarantee elimination of all security risks. You are responsible for implementing
security controls and maintaining compliance.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CNSEC AB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL,
SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Term and Termination
10.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time through the platform settings or by contacting support.
10.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required by law.
10.3 Effect of Termination
- Your access to the Service will cease
- We will delete your Customer Data within 90 days
- You remain liable for fees incurred before termination
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved by the courts
of Stockholm, Sweden.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email.
Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
